Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between volume and normalization?
A fixed change adds or removes the same number of decibels everywhere. Normalization measures the loudness of the whole file and adjusts it to a target (-14 LUFS), so every file in a batch ends up equally loud.
Will boosting distort my audio?
It can, if the peaks exceed the maximum level. Try +3 or +6 dB first, or use Normalize, which includes a true-peak limit of -1.5 dB.
Is this private?
Yes. The processing happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.
